The state-of-the-art health center will boast 15,000 square feet of clinical space.

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. — Community leaders and stakeholders gathered on March 6 at 3501 Broadway in Riviera Beach to commemorate a significant milestone: the groundbreaking ceremony for the FoundCare Riviera Beach Health Center. This event marks the beginning of the construction phase for a state-of-the-art health center, set to become a vital resource for residents and local underserved populations.

The 20,000-square-foot facility, spearheaded by FoundCare, will sit on 2.5 acres donated by the City of Riviera Beach. The facility will feature 15,000 square feet dedicated to clinical space and an additional 5,000 square feet designated for business incubator space. This innovative design reflects the commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare services while fostering innovation and collaboration within the Riviera Beach community.

CEO of FoundCare, Christopher Irizarry, expressed enthusiasm about the project's potential impact: "Today marks a significant step forward in our mission to address health disparities and improve the well-being of our community members. This state-of-the-art health center will provide essential healthcare services, ultimately transforming lives and promoting a healthier Riviera Beach."

Mayor of the City of Riviera Beach, Ronnie L. Felder, emphasized the importance of collaboration in making this project possible: "The construction of this health center represents a collaborative effort between public and private partners committed to addressing the healthcare needs of our community. By working together, we are creating opportunities for better health outcomes and a brighter future for all residents of Riviera Beach."

Riviera Beach faces significant health disparities, with residents lacking access to quality and affordable healthcare services. The new health center aims to bridge this gap by providing a variety of health services under one roof and accepting all patients regardless of ability to pay. Services include adult primary care, pediatrics, women's health, adult and pediatric dentistry, infectious disease, on-site pharmacy, and behavioral health.

Construction of the health center is expected to be completed by early 2025, with plans to open its doors to the public shortly thereafter. Health services are currently available to Riviera Beach residents through FoundCare’s mobile unit. The mobile unit is stationed every week at four designated Riviera Beach locations Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  For more information about FoundCare’s Riviera Beach health services, please visit www.foundcare.org/rivierabeach.
