Mental Health IS Health

Mental health affects the way we feel, think, and behave, and it is also directly related to how we handle stress and relate to others. Countless factors can contribute to the development of a mental health concern, and because of this, behavioral health problems, both temporary and permanent, are common. The good news is that help is available, and many people improve their behavioral health with treatment.

Primary care settings have become a place for individuals with behavioral health needs to receive treatment. FoundCare recognizes this and prides itself on being an integrated healthcare facility that reduces the stigma around seeking mental health care by offering behavioral health within a primary care setting. FoundCare’s Behavioral Health Team can provide services in English, Spanish, and Creole.

FoundCare’s Behavioral Health Team Provides the Following Services:

  • Brief Screening During Primary Care Visit
  • Biopsychosocial Intake with a Psychotherapist/Psychologist
  • Individual Therapy
  • Psychiatric Evaluation/Psychiatric Medication Management

Substance Abuse Assessment

FoundCare’s Behavioral Health Team assesses established patients with substance abuse disorders and refers them to outpatient and inpatient licensed substance abuse treatment providers throughout the county.

 Now Offering Depression Support Groups

Image

When: Every Tuesday at 6:00 PM

(THE FIRST SESSION WILL TAKE PLACE ON TUESDAY, MAY 16, 2023)

Where: 2330 S. Congress Avenue Palm Springs, FL 33406

What: Support groups are offered as a space where individuals can come together to share their stories, experiences, and lives in a way that helps reduce isolation and loneliness. Often, we think we are struggling alone, but support groups help us see that others may be dealing with similar situations and who in turn can help us get better.

FoundCare's depression support group will provide you with a safe and accepting place to vent your frustrations and fears and receive comfort and encouragement from others. This added support can give you new confidence as you learn to manage your depression and learn new ways to handle daily challenges.

For more information, please call 561-432-5849 EXT. 1080, or send us an email.

Group sessions are only available in English at this time.

Walk-ins welcome. Patients will be charged a behavioral health visit fee for each session. FoundCare accepts most insurance plans and offers a sliding fee scale based on household size and income. No one is turned away due to the inability to pay.
