FoundCare’s mobile health unit completes the second phase of FoundCare’s three-phase commitment to reaching Riviera Beach’s underserved population. In early 2022, following an assessment that identified concerning health issues affecting Riviera Beach residents in zip code 33404, FoundCare introduced adult primary care services to its Greenwood location at 5205 Greenwood Avenue, which sits less than three miles from Riviera Beach. It was during this time that FoundCare announced a new health center would be constructed at 3501 Broadway after securing a 99-year land lease with the City of Riviera Beach. The new health center, projected to open in 2024, will complete FoundCare’s Riviera Beach expansion project. When completed, FoundCare’s Riviera Beach health center will offer adult and pediatric primary care, women’s health, behavioral health, infectious disease services, and dental care in one location.

“We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with the City of Riviera Beach, for their generosity and eagerness to ensure a healthier future for the community,” said FoundCare’s Chief Executive Officer Christopher Irizarry. “Time can be a limited resource for individuals with poor health. Our mobile health unit ensures a better outcome for our Riviera Beach patients until we can proudly welcome them to their new state-of-the-art medical home.”

“These efforts reflect FoundCare’s continued commitment and dedication to improve the quality of life of others by increasing access to the healthcare services they provide,” said Riviera Beach Mayor Ronnie Felder. “We are proud to support FoundCare’s expansion into Riviera Beach because of their ability to lead with purpose and willingness to be a voice for those who are often forgotten about in our community.”

FoundCare’s mission is to provide quality healthcare and social services for all individuals and families. Currently, FoundCare has seven locations throughout Palm Beach County spanning from North Palm Beach to Boynton Beach and accepts most insurance plans, Medicaid, Medicare and self-pay on a sliding fee scale based on household size and income. No one is turned away due to inability to pay.
