FoundCare Concludes Second Back-to-School Health Fair of 2026, Expanding Reach to Students Across Palm Beach County
PALM SPRINGS, FL (July 28, 2026) – On Saturday, July 25, FoundCare hosted its annual Back-to-School Health Fair at its Palm Springs Health Center, welcoming families from across Palm Beach County for a day dedicated to health, education, and community support. This event marked FoundCare's second Back-to-School Health Fair of the summer, following a successful event held in Riviera Beach on July 11.
Under this year's theme, "A Carnival of Care," children and their families received essential healthcare services, school readiness resources, and family-friendly activities designed to help students begin the academic year healthy, prepared, and ready to learn.
During the Palm Springs event, FoundCare provided school physicals, immunizations, vision screenings, backpacks filled with school supplies, community resource referrals, and educational outreach. Hundreds of children and families attended the event, and FoundCare distributed over 220 backpacks and school supply kits. In addition, 220 school physicals and 50 immunizations were provided.
With two successful Back-to-School Health Fairs already completed and additional outreach planned throughout August, FoundCare's 2026 summer back-to-school campaign is expected to serve more than 500 students and families across Palm Beach County. The campaign includes an upcoming Back-to-School Health & Wellness Event in Belle Glade on August 6, along with partnerships at two additional community back-to-school events, helping connect families with healthcare services, school supplies, and other essential resources before the start of the school year.
These two community events brought together healthcare professionals, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and community partners to ensure local children have access to the resources they need before returning to the classroom. Families also had the opportunity to learn more about FoundCare's year-round services and connect with organizations offering educational, health, and social support programs.
"With two Back-to-School Health Fairs reaching families across Palm Beach County this summer, FoundCare has been able to expand its impact and help even more students enter the classroom healthy and ready to succeed," said Christopher Irizarry, CEO of FoundCare. "These events demonstrate what can be accomplished when healthcare providers, community partners, volunteers, and sponsors come together to invest in the future of our children and families."
The Back-to-School Health Fair series is part of FoundCare's ongoing commitment to improving community health and increasing access to quality healthcare regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. Through its network of health centers, FoundCare provides comprehensive services including adult and pediatric primary care, women's health, behavioral health, dental care, pharmacy services, and more.
