In celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, FoundCare’s outreach team proudly participated in two major community events in Riviera Beach, aligning our mission and services with honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King.
The weekend began with the 41st Annual MLK Day Parade, where Riviera Beach came alive with music, family-friendly activities, and a vibrant procession celebrating Dr. King’s impact on civil rights and social justice. Many spectators lined the streets to take part in this beloved tradition, and FoundCare’s outreach team was there to connect with attendees, distribute health information, and promote our services. We were honored to represent FoundCare in this powerful celebration of unity and equality, values that are deeply rooted in Dr. King’s legacy and align with our mission to provide accessible healthcare for underserved communities.
The following weekend, FoundCare participated in the 4th Annual MLK5K, which brought together nearly 400 runners and walkers of all ages to celebrate health, wellness, and economic equity. Our team engaged with participants, sharing resources about FoundCare’s services, including primary care, dental care, behavioral health, and our on-site pharmacy. Supporting an event that focuses on improving health outcomes and fostering community collaboration was a meaningful way for us to honor Dr. King’s vision of empowerment and opportunity for all.
As part of our ongoing commitment to the Riviera Beach community, FoundCare has established a Mobile Medical Unit to provide essential services while our Riviera Beach Health Center undergoes construction, scheduled to be completed in Spring 2025.
