Every October, we pause to shine a light on breast cancer, but more importantly, to do something about it. At FoundCare, we believe awareness is powerful, but it’s only part of the equation. Early detection and access to care are what truly make a difference.
Cancer doesn’t wait, and neither should you.
Why Screenings Matter
- Catching cancer early improves outcomes. When breast or cervical cancer is found in its earliest stages, treatment tends to be more effective, less invasive, and outcomes are better.
- Cervical screening can detect pre-cancerous changes. Pap tests and HPV testing don’t only look for cancer, they help find changes before they become cancer.
- You may not feel symptoms right away. Many early-stage cancers are asymptomatic. Regular screenings are your safety net.
- You deserve control over your health. Getting screened is a proactive step you take for yourself, your family, and your future.
- We’re making it easier for you. FoundCare is now offering mammograms at two accessible locations (more below!).
Where You Can Get Screened at FoundCare
We are excited to offer Mammograms at two FoundCare locations:
- Palm Springs 2330 S. Congress Avenue Palm Springs, FL 33406
- Yolette Bonnet Center 5867 Okeechobee Blvd West Palm Beach, FL 33417
This means you don’t have to travel far. FoundCare brings the screening closer to you.
We also provide cervical cancer screening services across many of our health centers. If you’re unsure when your last Pap or HPV test was, this October is a great time to catch up.
Join the October Screening Challenge
FoundCare is proud to partner with the Promise Fund’s October Women’s Cancer Screening Challenge. Healthcare centers, nonprofits, and community groups across Palm Beach, Broward, and Martin counties are working together this month to:
- Encourage women to schedule screenings
- Complete as many mammograms and cervical screenings as possible during October
- Raise awareness about early detection and prevention
When you book your screening with FoundCare in October, you’re not only helping yourself. You’re contributing to a community-wide movement to reduce late-stage cancer diagnoses. Together, we screen. Together, we save lives.
